lyrics
I was just washing my hands and for a split second there was peace in my chest
I had my fingers under the tap and for a split second there it was
Deep in my chest
It shone like gold / Brought down on a twirling path / Coming from the vicious half
The spinning cells of a storm
I know the truth
I know what's right
No need to fret
Or lose rest
That love dove was pirouetting above me / A silhouette in a sun beam
But that's nothing new and that's the way it was meant to be
As I stood trusting in my every thought / Forgetting all that I had been
taught
It arrived fresh with the water
Now drying on my hand
It said
I know the truth
I know what's right
No need to fret
No need to worry
I'll know it's you
I'll know the time
There'll be no story
There will be no story
My top album of 2013. Jordan Ireland has an innovative yet traditional songwriting and lyrical style. Dirty and delicate tunes from the heart of Australia. Mali Mali

Such a good sounding record. Heaps of instruments are involved in this record, but all is used sparingly. The harps and glockenspiels come in and out and dance around the melodies, the guitar is beautifully recorded, and the builds and arrangements of songs like Nocturne and Kitsune are mosh-worthy. British folk musician Tom Nash built these delicate and moving songs around a broken harmonium, allowing its limitations to open up worlds. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 12, 2021
